What happens at the Health Check?
A health check is just like a full health MOT which is especially tailored for your needs. You will be seeing a private GP who would assess any risk to your health during consultation which gives you time to discuss all your concerns. There will be a comprehensive examination and then after the examination we would discuss which health test would be best for you. After the health check and the blood test appointments we can discuss the risk of any cardiovascular disease or any stroke risk which you might have and how we can improve your health by assessing those risks.
HEALTH SCREENING
Health screening refers to the process of identifying people who might be at increased risk of a disease or a medical condition. Health screening tests look for diseases before you have any symptoms.
Examples of commonly done health screens are:

● cancer such as ovarian, bowel, breast, cervical or prostrate

SEXUAL HEALTH
Confidential, discreet sexual health services are offered in Dr Yash Medical Clinic. Should you be concerned about any of the STIs or STDs we provide a comprehensive sexual health screen for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, C and A, HIV, Herpes simplex, genital warts.
We also vaccinate against the HPV virus which may lead to cervical cancer or genital warts. We use Gardasil 9 vaccine which helps prevent the HPV infection which can cause cervical cancer or genital warts.
