What is Glacē by Candela?
Glacē is a device-assisted facial combining diamond-tip exfoliation, controlled suction and serum hydro-infusion. Your treatment is tailored to your skin, with additional massage and finishing steps in our Luxury option.
Is this the “glassy” or “glass skin” facial?
Yes. Glacē is pronounced “glass-ee” and is often described as a glass-skin facial. The aim is a smoother, hydrated, radiant appearance; poreless or flawless skin is not a guaranteed outcome.
Are needles involved?
No. Glacē does not involve injections or needles. Serums are applied through the facial system rather than injected, making it an option to discuss if you are needle-phobic.
What is the difference between Signature and Luxury?
Signature includes skin assessment, cleansing, diamond-tip exfoliation, personalised serum infusion and finishing skincare with SPF. Luxury includes these steps plus facial cupping massage, a soothing biocellulose mask and suitable LED or warming/cooling finishing steps.
Can I choose my serum?
Tell us what you would like to improve. Your therapist will recommend suitable preparation and infusion serums based on your skin, sensitivities and goals. You do not receive every serum in one session.
Does Glacē suit sensitive skin or rosacea?
Some sensitive skin can be treated with an adapted approach, but active irritation or a rosacea flare may need medical assessment or a postponed appointment. Tell us about redness, allergies and reactions before booking.
Can it help acne or pigmentation?
It may help selected surface congestion, oiliness, dullness and uneven tone. Active, painful or persistent acne and unexplained pigmentation need assessment; your therapist may recommend a consultation with Dr Yash and a different treatment plan.
What does it feel like?
You may feel gentle suction and movement across the skin, with sensations varying by tip, settings and serum. Luxury includes a relaxing facial massage. Tell your therapist if anything feels uncomfortable.
Is there downtime?
Usually little to no planned downtime, although temporary redness, sensitivity or irritation can occur. Your therapist will explain what to expect for your skin and provide aftercare.
When will I notice a difference, and how long will it last?
Skin may feel cleaner, softer and more hydrated shortly after treatment. Visible glow and its duration vary with your skin, routine and treatment choice. Pigmentation and fine-line concerns may need a longer-term plan.
How many sessions will I need?
You can book a single facial or discuss regular maintenance. Frequency is personalised to your skin and goals; we will explain any recommended course and costs before you decide.
How long does an appointment take?
The time depends on whether you choose Signature or Luxury and the finishing steps recommended. We will confirm your appointment length when you book.
How should I prepare, and what aftercare is needed?
Tell us about medication, recent skin treatments and your skincare routine, especially retinoids and exfoliating acids. Follow individual advice about pausing active products. Afterwards, use gentle skincare and sun protection; your therapist will advise about makeup, heat, exercise and restarting active ingredients.
Can I have it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Please tell us before booking. Some serums contain ingredients such as retinol, so the standard protocol may need adapting or postponing. Suitability and product selection must be checked individually.
Can I combine it with other treatments?
Sometimes, but timing matters. Tell us about recent or planned injectables, peels, laser and microneedling. Your therapist or Dr Yash will advise on a suitable interval.
